Most everyone expected the Rumble to come down to Triple H and Roman Reigns, but that's not what happened. Reigns eliminated Sheamus, and Trips then pulled a sneak, dumping Reigns out, leaving himself and Dean Ambrose. This was a smart and unexpected creative decision as it still gave the fans some hope, to pull for Ambrose, rather than just defer to the most predictable Trips-Reigns standoff imaginable. Plus, wasn't that post-elimination crotch chop that Trips gave to Roman just awesome?
