5 Awesome WWE Network Shows And 5 That Are Terrible
10. Terrible - Swerved
Why does WWE insist on making their superstars look stupid? From in ring scenarios where wrestlers eat a pinfall due to an enemy "distraction", to any segment involving Stephanie McMahon verbally castrating male superstars, WWE has some sort of affinity for making their own people look silly. Swerved is another example of making the talent look like stupid idiots.
Chairs with electric shock seat cushions, interviews with irritable bowel noises, and the Big Show painted gold and cosplaying a statue equals bad TV. Add to this that no one outside of wrestling knows what Swerved really is. So, when they tell people they were swerved, no one knows what that means. Its a rib on itself! It just makes everyone involved look like a joke.
Is this show scripted? Or not? They present it as a shoot which, if I'm honest, implies the superstars are too dumb to notice that they are being pranked which is especially crazy considering they advertise for the show all the time and every superstar has a WWE Network subscription. I want my WWE superstars to react by punching someone in the face if they get ribbed, not play along like its a game show.
