5 Dream WWE Matches Even Saudi Arabia (Probably) Can't Even Afford

Money can't always buy you everything.

With WWE now hosting a couple of shows annually in Saudi Arabia - and them evidently willing to splash the big bucks for former household names - we can expect more pro-wrestling legends to come out of hiatus for mammoth pay days in the coming years. Hell, The Undertaker is more likely to wrestle in Saudi Arabia nowadays than he is at WrestleMania! The region does have a demand for undertakers after all.

While Shawn Michaels' comeback may have been underwhelming, and The Undertaker vs. Goldberg flat out disappointing, this is unlikely to deter the Saudis - who clearly just appreciate the novelty of seeing these giants of sports entertainment in the flesh.

But not everyone can be bought. Some still uphold pride and principles, and therefore, whether because one competitor refuses to play ball or both, some dream matches will just never happen - no matter how much Saudi oil money is thrown at them. Then there's the case of both parties being willing but the company not approving it; these legends aren't getting any younger, ya know?

So, get your tissues at the ready, because these are the matches you may have long dreamed of, but are destined to stay exclusive to your imagination and or WWE 2K video games.

5. The Undertaker Vs. Sting

Okay, WWE has been teasing this recently, pondering what would have happened if The Undertaker jumped ship to WCW and crossed paths with 'The Stinger' back in the nineties. It could all be to whet the audience's appetite for a long overdue encounter between the two icons, funded by the Saudi billionaires.

But that's why this list is called the matches Saudi Arabia (probably) can't afford, and why this entry comes in at number five on the list. Sting has stated previously that The Undertaker is the only superstar he'd desire to step in the squared circle with again, which would finally fulfill the fantasies of many a wrestling fan who grew up in the Monday night wars era and always wondered: what if?

Whether The Undertaker is as keen for the battle to commence is anyone's guess, but even if he does desire the showdown, chances are WWE would never green light it anyway due to Sting's career ending neck injury suffered at the hands of Seth Rollins. It's likely if that accident never occurred, then this face off would have already went down back at WrestleMania 32.

Plenty of athletes have returned from so-called career ending incidents before though, and a stack of Saudi cash may be just the tonic needed that serves as a miracle cure. However, with WWE more strict than ever when it comes to the health and safety of their roster, odds are this one will never see the light of day.
