And 5 That Sucked...

5. Charlotte - WWE Women's Champion

Charlotte was the WWE Divas' Champion for more than six months when the belt was scrapped without warning. At WrestleMania 32, she was slated to defend it against Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch in a triple-threat bout, but at the event's kickoff show, it was announced that the Divas' Title was dead, and in its place was the brand-new WWE Women's Championship.

The three women stole the show at WrestleMania, providing a bright spot on the roundly-criticised card. Fans were solidly behind Banks, who had a star-level entrance involving Snoop Dogg, but Charlotte pulled off the surprise win, making Becky submit to the Figure 8. She would go on to hold the Women's Championship for nearly four more months.

To be fair, Charlotte's work as Women's Champion was great, just like her work as Divas' Champion. The problem, though, is that the birth of the new title called for something more than just the essential continuation of a reign. Fans wanted Banks to win at WrestleMania, and she should have.

Instead, she was kept off TV following the show while Charlotte feuded with Natalya in a good, but ultimately unremarkable program. The decision to make Charlotte the first champion was simply wrong.
