A well-respected tough guy, few would have agreed to mix it up with Stu Hart even as an old man. There are numerous accounts of the patriarch of the Hart family stretching various fledgling wrestlers in the bowels of his 'Dungeon' at home in Calgary. Despite his ability as a legitimate shooter, Stu was also a very kind man, at least according to his son, Bret. Another of his boys, Owen, knew exactly how to push his father's buttons and get him mad. Enjoying a weekend in New Jersey as a guest of Bret's at WrestleMania IV, Stu was relaxing in his hotel room. Suddenly, the phone rang, and Bret answered. On the other end of the line was Reg Park, a long-time wrestler and belt maker who also happened to be a great friend of Stu's. After moments of polite chatter, things got serious. 'Reg' called out Stu for never having the balls to take him down, which got the elderly Hart father fairly wound up. Eventually, Owen Hart couldn't keep his laughter in check. Admitting to his father that he had simply been imitating Mr. Park, Owen cracked up that he had pulled the wool over Stu's eyes. Slamming the phone down, Stu looked flustered. When Bret asked him what had happened, he simply replied, 'That Owen, he got me'. This is one Bret enjoys recanting during interviews, remembering how utterly brilliant his little brother was at ribbing.
