A founding father of Mixed Martial-Arts and a hugely realistic pro wrestler with the damaging zeal of a stepdad, Minoru Suzuki earned his way into the ballot presumably as a result of his huge influence over shoot style, incredible longevity, and evergreen in-ring performances.

That descriptor might even damn the man with faint praise; his latter-day New Japan run has yielded several classics a man of his advancing years and bump clock has no physical right to contest.
