5 Positives & 5 Negatives Heading Into WWE Money In The Bank 2017

2. Positive: A Women’s Money In The Bank Match!

Perhaps the biggest story heading into Money in the Bank is that for the first time ever, we’ll be seeing the women competing for a briefcase of their own.

On the May 30 showing of SmackDown, commissioner Shane McMahon announced that Charlotte Flair, Natalya, Tamina, Carmella and Becky Lynch would slug it out to presumably be nicknamed the inaugural Miss Money in the Bank.

They’ve obviously got plenty to live up to given the line-up in that men’s match, but with Flair, Natalya and Lynch in the mix, the women’s bout could end up being every bit as good. Plus, there’s always the chance that Charlotte decides it’ll be a good idea to hit one of her moonsaults from a ladder.

Still, the quality of the match is in some ways secondary, as this one is more about breaking new ground and establishing a tradition that will hopefully remain for the foreseeable future.

Just be prepared for plenty of cloying talk about this being the latest chapter in the ‘Women’s revolution…’
