5 Positives & 5 Negatives Heading Into WWE Money In The Bank 2017

10. Negative: Logic In The Women's Division

One thing that’s been somewhat lacking as of late is logic in the SmackDown women’s division.

A couple of weeks back, we saw Lana waltz onto the scene and immediately receive a shot at Naomi’s title, despite having only ever wrestled in one official main roster match. Then, in the very same show, it was Tamina who managed to pin Naomi in the six-woman tag team match - so surely that means she should have been challenging for the belt at the PPV.

On top of all that, many of the girls seem somewhat miscast. Charlotte Flair continues to be portrayed as a babyface, even though her mannerisms would suggest the exact opposite. Naomi, meanwhile, has come across fairly heel-like in her fledgling feud with Lana, who herself is supposedly the villain of the piece but has generally been receiving fairly favourable reactions.

Things just feel a little muddled as a result, and as great as it is that the women are being featured so prominently on the show, that shouldn’t be allowed to excuse a number of noticeable plot holes.
