5 Positives & Negatives Heading Into WWE Hell In A Cell 2016

We’ll kick things off with the negatives, and in particular one of the most noteworthy in the form of Chris Jericho’s absence from the card.

Obviously it’s a bit of a letdown any time that a legend like Jericho is left out. This time around though, the decision is looking all the more questionable due to the fact that it would’ve made perfect sense for him to be inserted into the Universal Championship picture.

As it stands, the Universal title bout will pit the champion Kevin Owens against the challenger Seth Rollins inside of Hell in a Cell. Now, there’s nothing wrong with that match-up per se – in fact it could easily go down as the match of the night. But with tension being teased between Owens and Jericho, this just felt like the perfect opportunity to throw the latter in the equation, stir the pot even further and build towards a likely Jeri-KO dissolution.

Ultimately, Owens vs. Rollins in Hell in a Cell is still a pretty awesome prospect, but the absence of Jericho and a Triple Threat stipulation does leave us wondering what could have been with this one.
