5 Reasons Kurt Angle Could Jump To MMA (And 5 Reasons It Won't Happen)

It's true, it's damn true - or is it?

Like Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley, and CM Punk before him, Kurt Angle has the pro wrestling and mixed martial arts worlds talking about him making the leap from the squared circle to the cage. At Bellator 145: Vengeance, Angle announced that he was considering fighting for the world's second largest mixed martial arts outfit, huge news for fans of both wrestling and MMA. For Bellator, it's another foray into the wrestling-MMA crossover, after negotiations with Alberto Del Rio apparently didn't work out based on what money was (or wasn't) on the table. For Angle, it's a chance to live out a dream: when Angle started out in pro wrestling after winning a gold medal in 1996 at the Olympic Games, MMA was in its infancy, and the money just wasn't there. Had it been, he very well might have found himself in some of the early UFC tournaments. These days, there's ample money to be made, especially with media giant Viacom backing Bellator. There are a number of reasons Angle could successfully jump to mixed martial arts and fight for Bellator - and there are just as many why it won't happen, too. So let's examine five reasons he could very well sign on the dotted line with Bellator MMA and make his in-cage debut while also looking at five reasons it will probably never happen.
