5 Reasons Kurt Angle Could Jump To MMA (And 5 Reasons It Won't Happen)
5 Reasons He Could Jump
5. The Blueprint Is Already There
Kurt Angle, were he to take up mixed martial arts at age forty-six, would not be the first "old guy" to make the jump into the sport "later" in life. Herschel Walker, the NFL legend and a freak athlete if there ever was one, also made the jump in his late forties, winning both his fights competing udner Scott Coker's Strikeforce banner, the second of which came at the ripe old age of forty-eight. Coker is the man who now runs Bellator, and a similar blueprint for Angle could lead to success. That would mean insisting that Angle get the proper training and fight camp, and not throwing him to the wolves against a big name who would make him look foolish. When all is said and done, it would be an easy path to success for Angle if he took this route, just like it was for Walker (who, at age fifty-three, is still looking for a third pro fight after the UFC bought Strikeforce and refused to give him an opponent).
