5 Star Wrestling may be a brand new promotion, but its enviable line-up would have impressed a lot of established names in the business. A quartet of leading stars (AJ Styles, Rey Mysterio, John Morrison, and current ROH Champion Jey Lethal) topped the bill - but they only told half the story. The rest of the roster consisted of some of Britain's top indie names, including former TNA Champion (and current GFW Global Champion) Magnus, Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Best Technical Wrestler of 2014 Zack Sabre Jr., and the incomparable Grado. We were also fortunate enough to secure interviews with a cluster of big names, including Styles, Morrison, Colt Cabana, and even Grado - all of which should be on our official YouTube channel in the very near future. In fact you can watch the AJ Styles interview at the very end of this article...
10. Rey Mysterio Gets Unmasked!
In the case of indie shows, fans can often wonder if the wrestlers will really give their all. It's not as if they're headlining WrestleMania, after all. No such questions can be asked of Rey Mysterio following his appearance last night. Despite his match with Jay Lethal being cut to eight minutes (due to time constraints), he worked damn hard all night. The former World Heavyweight Champion took part in a meet-and-greet before the show, an opening segment with AJ Styles, and a run-in during the main event - as well as the aforementioned match with Lethal. In perhaps the most shocking moment of the night, Lethal unmasked Mysterio following their match's DQ finish, causing the luchador to cover his face and run to the back. It will certainly have been an especially exciting moment for Rey's many young fans in attendance, some of whom may have caught a glimpse of their hero's face as he dashed past.
