Even pro wrestling's biggest powerhouses need credible opponents to work with. In AEW, that's Will Hobbs - the Team Taz monster has been steadily built as a heel counterpoint to Lee, and the ex-WWE man was willing to let Powerhouse bask in his own glory on this week's episode of Rampage.

This was a much better hour than last week's show. All Elite offered a ton of variety (there was a power vs. power main event, a spot-heavy tag-team opener, a solid women's match and a six-man tag), but nothing felt particularly rushed. In fact, one bout could've done with shaving a few minutes off the clock in the end.

The company even found the right moment to insert a cool little angle that pushed the TNT Title scene along nicely. It was nothing revolutionary, but the drama did give Rampage some much-needed importance. Now, rather than AEW's third hour coming across as secondary every week, it's Dynamite that will have to recap the Friday night delight.

That's a good thing.
