5 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (April 15)

1. Hangman Page Hangs On

As aforementioned, AEW must be careful they don't burn fans out with these constant blood-soaked brawls. Saying that, it'd be absolutely awful to give this main event anything other than an 'Up' overall. Hangman Page and Adam Cole worked their socks off to deliver a thumping closer.

The upcoming Battle Of The Belts II show could probably have used their 'Texas Death Match'. That's not really a moan though, because seeing the AEW World Title be defended on Rampage felt damn good for longtime viewers who have stuck with the Friday night broadcast since it started.

Think of this as a nice reward for that loyalty.

Hangman retaining was always going to happen, and it was the correct result. His title reign has been peppered with some right meaty matches, but it's only really the Cole feud that Page can hang his hat on since winning the thing. Fingers crossed he's heading for more rivalries like this one soon.
