And just like that, another year of WWE Raw draws to a close, going out live with a bang.

The last live Raw of the year brought fans an early Christmas present in the form of a killer main event, but it also once again produced a lot of filler to help kill 180 minutes of programming.

Still, Monday’s show overall proved to be a success, delivering better in-ring action than recent weeks, advancing a few major storylines and even making matches for the first Raw of 2024. Throw in a title change and you’ve got the makings of a solid show.

Fans who enjoy good matches were treated to two really entertaining title matches, one of which will surprise many. Those who like angles and character work had a couple of segments to sink their teeth into. And those with an eye to the future saw an act that could become central to WWE for the next decade.

That’s not to say that Raw wasn’t without its foolishness. The holiday episodes often are chock-full of silly tropes and the like, almost daring to not be considered canon at times. This year’s offering wasn’t that egregious (though next week’s taped show on Christmas might venture into that territory), but it had some forgettable moments.

What earned praise and what faltered? Let’s get to it…
