5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Sept 8)
LA Knight and Judgment Day might've overtaken The Bloodline on WWE SmackDown.
Change could be imminent on SmackDown.
The Bloodline has dominated blue brand business for a long period of time now, but that couldn't last forever. On Friday, WWE planted several seeds for things to come - they included presenting Judgment Day and the fledgling faction of Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits as possible successors for Roman Reigns' crew.
Of course, Bloodline biz is still burning in the background too, but it's sagging a little. Jimmy Uso's story just isn't as interesting as his brother Jey's. Worse, WWE kinda exposed the flaw in their own Draft whilst trying to lift it up during the same segment. That was a wee bit daft!
SmackDown was a solid show overall, to be fair. Not many of the matches had much to write home about, but clear paths for LA Knight, Austin Theory, Grayson Waller, IYO SKY and more helped hugely. Some might view the complete lack of John Cena or Roman as a bummer mind. Neither man was present (Cena is over in India for Superstar Spectacle) here.
All the good and bad from Friday's show awaits...
