Later, Rey and Dom worked a sequel to be proud of.

It's easy to miss just how far Dominik has come since their bout at WrestleMania 39. He's a much better all-rounder than he was in April 2023. That's what consistent reps do for a rookie, eh? Dom and Rey had natural chemistry immediately, because of course they did, but it's probs true they're capable of even better on PLE someday if handed sufficient time.

This was less of an in-ring epic and more of a story backdrop though. Liv's involvement flipped Dom's accidental aid on its head - she cost "her daddy" when Rey's basement dropkick caused Dominik to land on top of her. Then, Zelina Vega's own interference meant Morgan knocked into Dom and opened the door for the real daddy: Rey Rey.

Liv being a constant manipulative nuisance and playing Dominik before Rhea Ripley's inevitable, crowd-popping return is a giggle. As always, it's a joy to see Rey Mysterio do his thing to this high a standard in 2024. Keep in mind his knees were like prawn crackers a full decade ago!
