5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (April 2)

Sonya Deville was absolutely fabulous as a fire-breathing bitch last summer, but WWE has proceeded to book nothing for her in terms of follow up. Yes, Sonya does have a gig as Adam Pearce's assistant on Friday nights, but it's infrequent; she doesn't show up every single week, and hardly offers anything when she does.

It's a waste of talent.

Deville has gone backwards since last year, and this back up GM role isn't satisfying enough when one knows that it probably won't lead to anything meaningful. How long is it gonna' be before Sonya tells Pearce to f*ck off, stops occasionally undermining him and goes her own path? This is torture.

Last year proved that Deville has the chops to work at a higher level. She was composed on the mic, solid in-ring and had an emerging aura that screamed "star". Now, she's been reduced to playing the bi-weekly puppet.
