The line was a cute take on the catchphrase and a worthwhile acknowledgement of an important celebration on the calendar, but was the disastrous dictionary definition of telling not showing. Like corporate charities or pro-cause branding from companies with rank HR records, this - like a tweet earlier in the day - brought yet more attention to the longest standing consistent problem in All Elite Wrestling's history.

The jokes - themselves gallows humour at this point - are being written on the reg without AEW supplying the feed lines.
