Silas Young felt like another random inclusion in Wednesday's Dynamite card before we were informed that he was local to the area.

This could have created problems for the booking - the Wisconsin native was popular with the locals despite going in there against one of AEW's top babyfaces - but the two meshed well enough to give Young just enough shine before the Championship pedigree of Page shone through at the end.

More Ring Of Honor inclusion wasn't exactly a necessity with an AEW x NJPW show to promote, but Young was as good as anybody at propping up this latest Hangman Page wrestler's wrestler arc. He's got on with his business since losing to CM Punk, taking on all comers and proving himself the all-rounder and winner that won the belt in the first place and it feels as though this will matter a great deal when the AEW Champion makes his return.
