5 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dynamite (November 22 - Results & Review)
Ups…
5. Jon Moxley Vs Mark Briscoe
The Froggy Bow is fast becoming the best near fall in wrestling, or at very least Mark Briscoe's version of the Sami Zayn Blue Thunder Bomb. The possibilities that open up to every wrestling fan during the referee's slapping of the mat twice are dreamlike. This won't last forever, but Briscoe's enduring appeal and fantastic babyface fire-ups will carry it for the duration of the tournament regardless of how he fares.
And what about how he fares, exactly? Should he have seen this one through? He'll be a good hard luck loser and round robin tournaments require them, but at what point will withering fan patience be pushed instead of a man people are desperate to see succeed.
Elsewhere, this was an "impossible-to-be-bad" but "is-this-really-good?" Jon Moxley versus Mark Briscoe match, but a lamentation on the very existence of the Blackpool Combat Club can be saved for another day as long as Mox encounters some sort of peril or strife during the tournament.
