There was absolutely nothing to complain about from John Bradshaw Layfield's WrestleMania retirement, as the big Texan got some cheap shots in before the bell ahead of Rey Mysterio taking his Intercontinental Championship.
Going out the right way, JBL was comprehensively beaten by the 'Biggest Little Man' and made to look a bully and a fraud one last time on his way out.
His 2008 comeback had rapidly undone the goodwill built up amongst fans following a stellar year on commentary with Michael Cole, but he did at least keep his own involvement short when it was apparent just how little he could physically achieve. At 21 seconds immediately following the aforementioned over-wrought Hardyz hardcore bout, it was exactly what the crowd needed too.
