The perfect end to the perfect story at the perfect time, WWE deserved a lot of credit for the immaculately-booked return of Bill Goldberg in 2016.

His Universal Title win and loss over the space of a month have done damage to Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho's match earlier in the night, but Big Bill's power sprint against Brock Lesnar flawlessly undid any lingering memories of their 2004 'Show Of Shows' catastrophe.

Timed to perfection, the 4:45 blockbuster ensured that Goldberg wouldn't have to move beyond his Spear/Jackhammer comfort zone whilst the 'The Beast' had only to employ the slightest extra enthusiasm to drop in a leapfrog
