Last night's Raw was a wild ride through the best and worst of the modern WWE product.

It was a show characterised by huge peaks and valleys, with little in between. For the most part, Raw was either "very good" or "very bad," and while your mileage may vary with many of the night's biggest segments, it's clear that the red brand is struggling for consistency at the moment.

On the plus side, this was one of WWE's most eventful TV episodes in months. Much of it failed, but the three hours were packed with storyline development, and The Shield's hot-shotted reunion took centre stage. Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Dean Ambrose all had a rough night, but the show really tied their story together, setting them up for a huge step forward next week.

Away from The Shield storyline, the women's division's major players were all present and correct, with Mickie James getting one over on Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax. Elsewhere, Braun Strowman's rehabilitation continued through a big singles match, the 'Good Brothers' scored a much-needed win, and Enzo Amore's Cruiserweight reign continued in typically annoying fashion.

Which segments raised the bar, and which ones tempered the excitement? Let's take a look.
