5 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE WrestleMania 34
4. All About The Shame, And How You Play It
Nia Jax beating the sh*t out of Mickie James before repeating the feat on Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss was a vital bit of storytelling needed to get around any lazy reason to have Nia struggle against the overmatched 'Goddess'.
Despite failing to promote Jax as having the talent or knowhow to pull off the spot, WWE still booked a 50/50 battle that serviced neither the Champion or Challenger. Bliss got more offence than she should have, and while Alexa's shortcuts were admirable, the result could have wrapped in two minutes instead of the ten the pair received.
The Samoan babyface win was welcome enough on a night that needed another in the main event, but the quality of the match highlighted just how much misused talent were left marooned in a pre-show Battle Royal.
