WWEMauro Ranallo and Jerry 'The King' Lawler had an easier-than-expected evening on this week's SmackDown. Much of the presenting work was actually handled by both Renee Young and Byron Saxton, who were broadcasting from the AT&T Stadium. The venue looked resplendent, and it'll look even better once - hopefully - full on Sunday for WrestleMania 32. That event was naturally the focus of Young and Saxton's work, they were there to hype 'Mania beyond belief. As aforementioned, this stifled SmackDown badly, but neither announcer can be blamed for that. In fact, they did their best to adequately build drama and anticipation for wrestling's annual showcase. To their credit, both did appear enthused by what they were talking about. Maybe that doesn't excuse WWE for booking well over an hour of hype when SmackDown should have been ongoing, but Young and Saxton are undeniably talented at what they do. In years gone by, hosts like Josh Mathews seemed bored when handling such content, but the same can't be said for these guys. They had very little to work with, but they gave it their best shot.
