5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Oct 8)
Is it just us or does Wade Barrett still suck?
Watching WWE television over the past number of weeks has made one thing perfectly clear, the promotion's creative squad have absolutely no idea what to do with Neville. Previously, the Newcastle native had a story with Stardust, but that looks to have been glossed over recently. Now, the high-flyer's main beef is with the returning 'King' Barrett. Unfortunately, the storyline isn't really clicking. One of the main reasons for that became more prevalent on this week's episode of Smackdown. It's fair to say that Neville isn't trusted to do much talking on WWE programming, because he's rarely given the chance. If that's the case, and management don't have faith in his verbal abilities, his in-ring skills should definitely be given more focus. Neville battled Barrett on this week's episode, but below are the rest of the results from the card. Big E def. Dolph Ziggler by pinfall. Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Natalya def. Team Bella by submission. Ryback def. Rusev via pinfall. 'King' Barrett def. Neville by pinfall. Randy Orton and Roman Reigns def. Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman by disqualification. Those were the match outcomes, but there were several other promo segments and recap packages that helped fill out the show. This article looks at the main 'ups' and 'downs' from this week's broadcast.
