The UFC's first pay-per-view of 2020 started the next year of mixed martial arts action with a bang, as there was plenty of action on show at T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. Conor McGregor absolutely crushed Donald Cerrone, battering the Octagon legend in 40 seconds with a mixture of vicious punches, a crushing head kick and nose-busting shoulder strikes.

That's right, he broke Cerrone's nose using his shoulder. We're just as shocked as you are.

McGregor's win was just the cherry on the cake of what was an exceptional UFC card, filled with slick submissions, incredible underdog victories and the arrival of a new contender in the promotion's most stacked weight class. It was the dramatic return to action that fight fans have been waiting for since the promotion went on their winter break.

Although there were plenty of highlights on this mostly entertaining card, there were still some moments that weren't so great. We saw the fall from grace of a once amazing fighter and nearly witnessed a UFC debutant be derailed by their own hype train.
