Wrestling is all about telling a story, not just within the ring during the match, but in what happens outside it to set up future stories. Its inevitable that some matches are going to be used largely for angle advancement, but it was overdone for this King of the Ring tournament three of the seven matches either had distraction finishes or disqualifications. In some ways, the angles worked really well, with Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler really heating up their feud (a hot crowd chanting Let them fight! always helps matters). But the angle advancement stuff should be kept to a minimum, particularly if youre going to tell fans over and over how this tournament many might not have seen before is so prestigious.
