2. Video Package Does The Trick
Hearing Ronda Rousey talk about living out of her car after winning an Olympic medal for judo was enough of a hook. Her saying that she realized she could talk sh** and break arms to pay the bills was just gravy.
WWE lost some points by not having Rousey appear live on Raw and instead having her do an off-camera appearance in the arena and chase off Dana Brooke. But as usual, the video package was solid and did a great job conveying who Ronda is and why fans should care about her.
The last two weeks, however, had better focus on the match itself and feature Stephanie McMahon and Triple H getting in her and Kurt Angle’s faces. Their last confrontation was great, but it’ll have been three weeks since that last run-in if they meet up next week. So that means they need to get back on track in person with just two episodes of Raw left before WrestleMania.
