The ongoing “will he, won’t he” game of whether the Undertaker will accept John Cena’s challenge for a match at WrestleMania apparently passed the 11th hour Monday and is headed into overtime.

Taker did not directly or indirectly respond to yet another call-out from Cena and the fans, leading the 16-time former world champion to ask whether the Deadman had left his manhood behind after last year’s WrestleMania. That means Cena now ostensibly goes to Mania “as a fan” to watch the card like everyone else.

Of course, it’s hard to believe that WWE would spend four weeks whipping fans into a frenzy about a Cena/Undertaker match and then not deliver, so you’ve got to imagine that they’ll somehow pull the trigger at Mania, to give everyone a true “WrestleMania Moment.”

But that’s just really strange booking, as it means we still don’t know if this major match will take place. If it does, it would be the 14th bout on the card (including kickoff show matches).
