This writer is no fan of WWE’s penchant for 50/50 booking, but sometimes, you can tell a good story by having one person win the first match so another can adapt and come back to overcome.

It seems like this is where the storyline between Bobby Roode and Mojo Rawley is going. Rawley had spent the last few weeks tormenting Roode, saying he’s nothing more than a catchphrase. It bubbled over into a backstage fight last week, and Monday, they had it out in the ring.

Mojo controlled a good portion of the match, but Roode managed to pull it out and score the victory, though you could see it was a pretty even bout.

So where do you go from here? Odds are that Mojo continues to taunt Roode, calling him lucky and looking for a way to topple him. If that’s where things are headed, then Monday’s result makes good sense. So we’ll give a tentative “up” here for the veteran defeating the upstart this time.
