5. Tag Teams Get Short-Changed

For a brief minute, it looked like WWE was going to take its Raw tag team division seriously, with Bobby Roode & Chad Gable, the Ascension and AOP squaring off in a triple threat tag match.

After about two minutes of action, Gable & Roode picked up a quick win off a German suplex/neckbreaker combo – only to be immediately jumped by AOP, which left both team lying. The match did nothing other than lay waste to two tag teams so AOP could stand tall.

While that in itself isn’t a problem, it was ridiculous to have a triple threat tag match where the entrances are longer than the contest. And wiping out the other two as easily as AOP did after they barely wrestled made them look like chumps.

It’s little things that can help avoid that. Basic, logical storytelling avoids those problems and provides more depth. But hey, they must’ve run out of time showing all those recaps.
