Good tag-team action, but selling three PPVs at once might be a bit much.

WWE Raw got Rocky Mountain High Monday night, delivering a show that produced a mixed bag. We got the high of two pretty good tag matches, but some really pedestrian action as well.

Raw is winding its way into October, and a fall with an unusual PPV schedule. We’ve got Super Show-Down in Australia next weekend (6 October), with a card that was partially announced before the angles were even crafted on television. Then we have an all-women’s PPV, Evolution at the end of the month. Five days after that, we have our second Saudi Arabian PPV, Crown Jewel (2 November), with a Universal Championship match already announced there.

The company is actively promoting three PPVs simultaneously, so you’d be forgiven if you get confused or lost at any point. At least Raw delivered a couple of nice moments, with one tag team scaling the ranks and another finally being remembered.

On the flip side, we saw the disaster that is the Bella Twins continue their run through the women’s division. Stephanie McMahon showed up long enough to emasculate another superstar, and we broke character for a solid 10 minutes so the company could pat itself on the back.

This is Raw in 2018.
