5. Announcers Get Free Lobotomies

At least, that seemed to be the case Monday night.

During a backstage interview, Randy Orton casually asked Charly Caruso if Edge was going to be the only guest on the Peep Show later on. She replied yes, and then Orton suggested there would be another guest. Charly looked confused as Edge’s rival and PPV opponent all but said he was going to interrupt Christian’s talk show, even after Randy said there would be a second guest.

We then flipped back to the announcers, giving us Byron Saxton’s brand of confusion, as he opined that he didn’t know what Orton had planned for the segment.

For what it’s worth, Orton did indeed interrupt the Peep Show, popping up on screen to lecture Edge. Gee, it’s almost as if he telegraphed it.
