So after months of this idiotic plotline of Erick Rowan carrying around a covered cage allegedly housing a pet of some sort, we got our apparent payoff Monday night.
No Way Jose and his conga line approached Rowan backstage, with Jose asking politely if he could show them what was inside. For some reason, Rowan relented and thanked Jose for asking nicely, and then pulled out the pet: a giant, hair spider.
Naturally, everyone fled, as Rowan simply put the creature back into the cage. And that was it. Months of stupidity for a fake-looking giant spider.
In reality, there was no good way to get out this situation, but maybe – just maybe – it would have been better to have Rowan throw the cage out and say it was stupid as a wink and nod to the audience.
