Downs...

7. Get Over It

Look Chicago, it€™s nothing personal, and it€™s understandable that you would want it to happen, but you€™ve got to let CM Punk go. It€™s been 15 months since he walked out on WWE, and he is a UFC fighter now. His wife has retired from in-ring competition, probably spurred on in part by the incessant €œCM Punk€ chants that accompanied her matches. When Punk€™s departure was still fresh and fans felt like he€™d be back any day, it made perfect sense. When fans were frustrated with the direction of WWE and wanted to voice their displeasure, Punk€™s absence was a valid thing to call attention to. But after more than a year, it just gets old. He€™s clearly moved on with his life, so why keep bringing his name back into the mix? It€™s chants like that that probably give WWE pause to let Hideo Itami use the Go To Sleep (which he originated), figuring that the minute he hits it, some crowd that thinks it€™s clever will burst into a €œCM Punk€ chant. It€™s time to move on.
