5 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE Extreme Rules 2015

By Scott Carlson /

Ups...

5. Conflicted Kane

Call this a cautious €œup,€ with the possibility of becoming a negative pretty easily. Kane has become one of the more interesting characters in WWE in recent weeks, finally showing signs of cracking as the Authority€™s director of operations/whipping boy. At Extreme Rules, Kane attacked everyone in sight, although he managed to pull Seth Rollins on top of a prone Randy Orton to try to keep the WWE World Heavyweight Championship with the Authority. Even Triple H has inadvertently fed into Kane€™s confusion, telling him that he€™s not the monster he once was. The question that this raises going forward is whether Kane will revert to his old self one last time and whether he will get one last run. Kane just turned 48, so his in-ring career is clearly winding down, but this is the most interesting he€™s been since turning into a corporate suit more than a year ago. Fans clearly want to get behind Kane and actually care about him again, and maybe they will get their wish.
