During a backstage segment midway through Super Showdown, Corbin complained to Byron Saxton about the referee putting his hands on him, costing him his match. He demanded that someone do something about it, and punctuated his promo by saying, “Heads are gonna roll.”

Let’s just note that less than two months ago, it was revealed that Saudi Arabia – where the PPV took place – beheaded 37 men after what was described as “sham trials.” And last year’s murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi (which spurred most of the original backlash against WWE) included his beheading.

WWE employs an army of writers. Promos are heavily scripted and edited. Corbin was most likely given that line and delivered it. So who green-lit that? Who’s the idiot(s) who let that slip by?

Someone should be fired over this.
