Never before in the history of the WWE has a free pay-per-view been sold so hard. Survivor Series, in case you hadnt heard, is free this year on the WWE Network, and WWE is pushing it as a big deal in an effort to drive more fans to test drive the Network and hopefully become paying customers in December. Is it a smart strategy? We dont know because were really in uncharted waters. But WWE is trying something, and it gave us a Monday Night Raw that certainly had some really strong moments. Of course, Raw also served up some questionable moments that leave some fans pausing the DVR until friends and significant others leave the room. Because lets face it: Do you want to admit you watch a show featuring people talking to a cat and feuding with a guy in a bunny costume? Overall though, WWE gave fans the hard sell, with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon nervous about losing the company and trying to take out members of Team Cena ahead of Survivor Series. If theres no Team Cena, theres no match to cost them their reign as the Authority. Pretty sound logic, but did it work? Lets find out
