5 Ways WWE Can Improve NXT

5. Create Credible Top Level Babyfaces

If there is one thing I can say about NXT, it's that it is always looking ahead. Soon enough, Samoa Joe is going to the main roster, leaving Shinsuke Nakamura to probably fight Bobby Roode for the NXT Championship sooner rather than later.

So that asks the question: who's next?

When NXT was turning into the monster that it is now, the show had constant talent coming in at the right time. When Neville became champion, Sami Zayn was getting hot, and Kevin Owens was just debuting. There has always been someone behind them waiting for their shot. We have heels galore right now in NXT, and each of them could easily be thrown in the title equation. The real problem is that there is no real babyface ready for a main event push.

As far as singles babyface competitors go, we have No Way Jose, Tye Dillinger, and Hideo Itami - none of which, in my opinion, are ready for the NXT Title. Jose is a midcard talent through and through, and Itami just got injured again, so there's no trust in him yet. That leaves Dillinger, who lost so much as a heel that I'm not sure if it is repairable. If anything, him and Itami would make the main roster before they touch NXT gold.

And looking at the next crop of stars, there seems to be no faces coming up. Anthony Dawkins, Steve Cutler, Tino Sabbatelli, and Patrick Clark all seem to be more heelish than face. NXT is a place of development, and they really need to develop some good guys for the gold and black brand.
