For the uninitiated, Shinsuke Nakamura is arguably the greatest professional wrestler in the world today. Yes, a man that does not currently work for Vince McMahon is capable of holding that distinction. In fact, some of the world's greatest wrestlers are often not on the WWE payroll until years after they've established that reputation, but typically, talents that have consistent success and can form a connection with the audience will be sought after by the WWE. Shinsuke Nakamura is one of those special talents. If you are unfamiliar with him, a quick perusal of some of his matches will not leave you disappointed. Rumours recently began circulating that WWE is interested in signing Nakamura, which should come as little surprise to anyone that has seen him work. What better way to introduce him to the WWE audiences than on the biggest stage possible at WrestleMania?It is unclear what Nakamura's current employment status is with NJPW and when/if he has an expiring contract, but seeing the King of Strong Style perform at WrestleMania needs to be in the WWE's end game. Although NXT is the official welcoming party for all WWE newcomers, the company would be wise to avoid this, or at the very least, quickly expedite Nakamura's time through the requisite stay at the Performance Center. It's a radical way of thinking (although not really when you consider how new talents debuted in the WWE pre-OVW, one of their first developmental territories), but if anyone has shown they are capable of connecting with an audience, it's Shinsuke Nakamura. Like the old days when wrestlers actually were superstars, let him do the majority of his WWE learning on the job. There's no better place to kick it off than at WrestleMania.
