Dropping Jon Moxley vs. Brian Cage from Fyter Fest 2020's second night was an unfortunate but essential step for All Elite Wrestling after the World Champion's wife, Renee Young, tested positive for the illness currently sweeping the globe. AEW's duty of care must be adhered to. The health and wellbeing of Moxley and his colleagues takes precedent over everything else, including card quality.

It's a downer from a ratings perspective, leaving Orange Cassidy vs. Chris Jericho as Fyter Fest's only main event-calibre feud. Spoilers are out there, with NXT's sparking particularly mighty shockwaves, though history tells us that these things rarely have a negative impact. Knowing who comes out on top between Adam Cole and Keith Lee is merely a bummer; that it could tilt the balance in AEW's favour is unlikely.

Nonetheless, last week was a considerable rebound for a promotion that continues to trump NXT where it matters: the 18-49 demographic. It's reasonable to expect this to continue after a quality mini-PPV.

Jericho vs. Cassidy takes top billing, but there's also a Tag Team Title match pitting Kenny Omega and Hangman Page against Private Party, FTR teaming with The Young Bucks to face The Butcher and The Blade and Lucha Brothers, plus Nyla Rose against a mystery opponent. Plenty of intrigue remains.

Let's light the fuse...
