6 Most Insane Things Happening In Wrestling Right Now (July 7)
2. Donald Trump Wrestles With Credibility
It's a squash match, let's face it; Donald Trump's stint as President Of The United States of America has rendered the concept of satire absolutely dead.
Over the weekend, he astonished even those left totally unfazed by his mahogany balls-to-the-wall 24/7 lunacy by posting a meme showing himself throwing über-sh*tty worked punches at Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 23 - with the CNN logo crudely plastered over his head. The man genuinely believes he is an action hero righting the wrongs of an impartial news corporation that happens to report accurately on his nuclear bomb-level threat of utter catastrophe. By endorsing physical assaults on journalists, Trump has effectively attempted to terrify them into subservience.
"Can't you take a joke, you f*cking SJW liberal snowflake f*cktard?"
Not really: now pro wrestling is synonymous with his idiocy, and not just idiocy in general, setting the industry back years. The perception of wrestling is hindering its grassroots progress, what with YouTube's policy on it and TV sponsor snootiness. Trump isn't helping.
In an altogether less shocking development, the creator of the meme - HanAssholeSolo - has been unearthed as a toxic troll as well as somebody who has less grasp of wordplay than with real-life social interactions. The gentleman spoke of his desire to mutilate cats and his insistence on carrying a "punch blade" in Paris to ward off the "Islamic f*cks" in previous Reddit posts.
Those punches were utterly abysmal. Luckily for Trump, there's a man on hand to motion capture his efforts in future...
