6 Most Insane Things Happening In Wrestling Right Now (Nov 10)

4. Impact Wrestling Might Finally Be Dying

Impact is the cockroach of the pro wrestling arena, having survived the nuclear-powered stupidity of Vince Russo, Dixie Carter and their reign of terror. Sunday's Bound For Glory pay-per-view was utterly trounced by the buzz generated by NJPW Power Struggle. Those who bothered to even read about the show were quietly bemused by its peak TNA quality. A multi-man X Division spot-fest started the show. Gail Kim, against the current of tradition, won her retirement match purely because, you suspect, WWE once allowed a female wrestler that privilege. TNA have spent their entire history imitating WWE, when it should have existed as an alternative.

TNA have also spent their entire history punishing their fans like a tease j*zz delivered by the cold, dead hands of Katie Hopkins - and on Sunday, their equivalent of WrestleMania, the main event was tarnished by a cheap TV run in purely to create buzz for the TV show. Impact Wrestling is a Möbius strip of absolute nothingness in 2017. The tactic didn't work, funnily enough; it emerged in ensuing days that the company had to pay the Ontario public to masquerade as wrestling fans.

Impact is masquerading as a wrestling promotion - but how long can this go on?
