6 Reasons Last Night's WWE Raw Made You Change The Channel

5. Growing Up Bella

Not all WWE fans are regular viewers of Total Divas. There€™s a reason for that €“ we don€™t particularly care for the €œreality show€ drama and antics. There is an audience who enjoys that type of programming, but it€™s safe to say that most of those who tune in to Raw aren€™t looking to see Total Divas drama unfolding in-between matches. However, that€™s exactly what we got with €œGrowing Up Bella,€ a series of segments during Raw in which Nikki Bella recounted stories to paint her sister Brie as a selfish, conniving person who stole Nikki€™s prom date, blamed a car accident on Nikki, and had Nikki switch places with her for a high school exam. (This is why DVR-ing Raw is so valuable €“ it allows you to fast-forward segments like these.) Nothing said here makes fans want to see a Brie-Nikki match, nor does it really make them hate Nikki more. It just sounds like a family squabble being aired out on television. It belongs on Jerry Springer, not Raw. Make it about how Nikki helped Brie hold onto her Divas Title for two months, while Brie couldn€™t be bothered to help Nikki when she won her title, and she lost it in a week. That is something real and tangible.
