The devastating news of Seth Rollins needing major knee surgery has led to a lot of sadness among wrestling fans. The WWE Universe is wondering what's next as WWE moves along with a planned WWE Title tournament at Survivor Series while Rollins sits on the sidelines for six to nine months. While it's perfectly fine to look ahead to the future, it's also important to realize that Rollins was likely going to lose the WWE Title soon anyway. There were many signs that suggest it would happen before the end of 2015. A lot of people probably thought he would hold it for about a year before dropping it at WrestleMania, but that may not have been WWE's plan. The WWE Title reign of Rollins began on March 29, 2015 when he cashed-in the Money in the Bank briefcase at WrestleMania. He held the WWE Title for 221 days before relinquishing it on November 5, which was one day after the knee injury in Dublin. It was an impressive run that led to several great matches with current stars as well as older wrestlers. It's a shame that Rollins got hurt and he'll definitely be missed while he rehabs, but there are plenty of reasons to think that he was going to lose the WWE Title very soon anyway and that his real-life injury only sped-up the process. Here are six of those reasons.
