What a f*cking match!

Swears and exclamations such as these have thus far only been saved for 'The Bruiserweight' himself, but Jordan Devlin's bubbling potential finally boiled over here as he earned a shot against Pete Dunne with a thrilling victory over El Ligero.

The former faux-Mexican may struggle to find a foothold on NXT UK if he drops so quickly into a utility player's spot, but the quality and dedication of his work should hopefully see him survive early losses to move forward when it's time to take his turn.

Though this match lacked storyline going in, the wrestlers stumbled upon a superb narrative in the night. Devlin struggled to dominate in a more evenly-matched encounter, but showed as-yet-unseen grit to survive Ligero's generous range of highspots and hit one of his own with a moonsault to floor.

Ireland's Call sealed the deal, and Devlin couldn't have looked better ahead of his biggest battle on the brand to date.
