4. New Day Makes The Most Of Getting Bumped

For an act that had its match bumped from the card, New Day certainly didn’t feel like a slighted duo on Monday night.

Heading into Raw, New Day was slated to take on Rey Mysterio and an unnamed partner, which very likely could have been Penta’s WWE debut. However, that match was scrubbed, likely due to The Rock’s late addition or just the reality of a lengthy run time for everything else.

Rather than simply bumping them off the show, New Day made a couple of appearances in interview segments, talking about how Los Angeles didn’t deserve to see them wrestle, then took digs at Kendrick Lamar to rile the fans a bit more.

Later in the evening backstage, the duo complained about Cathy Kelley interviewing Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias rather than them, continuing their gripe with Raw’s backstage correspondent and just generally being jerks.

While this was more of a treading water week for them, New Day made the most of what could have been a net loss for the heel act.
