6 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (28 February - Results & Review)

X. What Is THIS Match?

The news could have been worse. Chris Jericho, it turns out, will not be eating into the Revolution run-time; he will be taking part in a match that will replace an already announced postponed attraction.

'Meat Madness' is now off - Tony Khan stated on Twitter that some of the names scheduled to be added are not medically cleared - and will be replaced by an eight-man 'All-Star Scramble', the winner of which will earn a World title shot against whomever emerges with the hardware at Revolution.

The match should be fun enough - it is incredibly difficult to f*ck up an urgent, action-heavy one-fall-to-a-finish stip like this - but also, Jesus Christ.

It feels like an excuse to get Jericho's mandatory PPV match on there, and the desperation, the tumble down the card, is almost undignified. Could his appearance be any more unnecessary?

Surely, the precious spotlight can wait a few months. This cannot be good for his brand. He literally exists in AEW for the purpose of existing now.

He's turning himself into the opposite of a star.
